Great movie, great character. I watched this little independent film in Turin last November (at the Turin Film Festival), and it really was a delightful surprise. Brandon Cahoon succeed in describing the growth of a confused teenager, finally facing his jump into adult society. Dean's life is at a crucial turning point; now he has to decide his future, his destiny: signing, like his cousin, a compromise with the common society, passively taking his place in it; or going away, running after a future unknown but at least free. The entire movie is the perfect tale of this age's "limbo", when our youth is going to finish and life asks us to be man. It's up to Dean now: dissipate fears and doubts and follow his own dreams of "difference" or be like everyone else. Unfortunately the right choice wont be the simplest one. (Sorry for my English! :-)
