Shackin' Up (1984)
Late period coked-up sex-a-thon...not bad at all.
12 July 2008
This soft-erotic film was a late arrival in the era of cocaine-fueled sexual overplus. At the time of its release, the disco hot-tub swinger lifestyle was already quite passé, and the specter of AIDS had recently emerged to trammel everyone's lustful "modus vivendi". That being said, it's also one of the better films of its type, offering the viewer a suppositious keyhole peek into the extravagant sexual commerce of New York's high society. Presented as a string of vignettes, the film maps out a "dot to dot" series of carnal encounters...debutante seduces rocker, rocker beds journalist, journalist humps fashion photographer, photographer lays model, etcetera. These erotic episodes come in a variety of flavors, ranging from impulsive quickies to elaborately devised psychodramatic scenarios.

Wild action and bizarre kinks abound, just going to show you that really, REALLY hot sex is reserved for the very rich...and their "pets". A variably interesting movie with an attractive cast, I liked NEW YORK NIGHTS, and would recommend it as a "couples" film(or "triples"? Hey, whatever's in your price range).
