Rajiv Babbar's box-office super-duper-hit 'Shapath' is escapist cinema at it's best. A highly-entertaining film with Mithunda & Jackie delivering terrific performances.
My advice to all who haven't seen this killer flick yet: Don't look for logic in 'Shapath', it's an out-and-out masala film, it's for those who enjoy Hindi Cinema for it's ever-lasting escapism. Remember my advice!
Altaf Raja delivered a super-hit song in here, 'Ishq Aur Pyar Ka', which proved to be a smash hit. In fact, it became a rage across the nation. Babbar's direction is superb, this is his best work.
Acting wise, as mentioned, Mithunda & Jackie are in terrific form. Both of the Legendary actors are a treat to watch. Shakti Kapoor is excellent, his comedy track is truly hilarious. Ramya looked great then and her performance is up-to the mark. Kader Khan, Gulshan Grover & Salim Ghose are perfect in their parts. Others lend able support.
I loved 'Shapath', I've seen this film many, many times. So of course, I recommend this film to all Hindi Cinema Fans! Thumbs Up!
