It left me feeling Meh...
1 June 2012
The movie was good. You could tell the budget was very low, but they made due with what they had. The story starts with a store owner Moses. Trying to get a loan to expand his store. Without collateral it can't be given to him. So he goes back to his store where we meet two characters Sonny & Claire. Sonny is Moses's special helper around the store, and Claire is a young teacher who we find out soon in the movie is his daughter. We then come into a man who wants to go into business with Moses. Malik is his name & Islam is his game. I won't go too deep into that, but that is the setup for this movie. An everyday black man living his everyday life. Which soon get's turned upside down.

The setup, and follow through were pretty good. Nothing too action packed or fake. The acting was decent. All except a little kid who's role was small. Anyways the only problem I had with this movie was the ending. It made me feel like I wasted my time watching it. There was no closure what so ever.It kind of ended like The Sopranos. Not just cut to black, but to a city pan, and then to black. We never find out what becomes of Moses & Claire. Which to me was a huge disappointment.

To be honest the entire ending could have been done so much better. The setup for this movie was so great. I believe if the budget was bigger we could have really had an outstanding film. Given they change the ending... O shall I say actually give us one.
