Review of Arsena

Arsena (1937)
heroic

film of a period, part propaganda, part romanticism, theatrical but using all Soviet cinema art details for impress, first role of Spartak Bagashvili who creates typical haiduks with nuances of brave Comsomolist, it is perfect occasion to understand the vision of an ideology. and admire the fight/dance scenes, the Georgian life style in few nice sequences, the errors imposed by party image about past and the Manichean struggle between social categories. no doubt, Bagashvili is Arseni and this is basic virtue of film. the second, the atmosphere who remember at all the historical movies from East European countries. the final - exploration of subject step by step because this film is the third exercise to present the national/social crusade under command of brave handsome Arseni. but most important is the humor who remember the childhood joy. a film. like many others. but special. why ? see it !
