Real or fake Lelouch film?
7 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Bécaud coasting the entire film is doing quite well. No, he does not sing but do not hesitate to drop the shirt, pants ... and ALL the rest . A FREE MAN is a kind of modern melodrama about divorce, seen from a male perspective . The story is a bit misogynist for the time (women = housewife, whore or confidante ) and would be considered completely sexist today, which probably explains why the film has not been re-released since its original release. The film is produced by the production company of Claude Lelouch ( Les Films 13) and his shadow hangs heavy over the entire film signed by "Roberto Muller" which is his only achievement. The filming ( camera shoulder, many outside ) and rhythm reminiscent of the new wave style that made the fame of Lelouch. Single flash of bizarre is a sequence where characters watch automobiles stunts for a study on sexual intercourse (!) Would prove a grain of madness unusual for Lelouch . The data sheet upabove forget the actor Philippe Khorsand (1948-2008) in the role of a hotel receptionist and Beccarie does not appear in the copy distributed in France...
