some commentators reviews led me to expect a real mess – hardly so. I share many viewers of what has transpired for 'faith based' entertainment – shoddy acting and writing. Usually very heavy handed with an altar call – not here. The script could have used a little tightening and it was a shame that O'Toole was barely in the movie but the rest of the cast gave a good performance led by John Rhys-Davies – in some scenes he reminded me of Sean Connery. There is some toying with the scripture but the essence of the film is pretty faithful to scripture.
Worth a view and a good tool for presenting scripture.
