History Repeats Itself: Class of 1984 (2015)

Excellent, highly entertaining interview with CLASS OF 1984 director Mark Lestor and composer Lalo Schifrin. Lester gets the best stories as he talks about getting the funding for the movie, the entire shooting schedule and then the nearly impossible task of getting the film into theaters. Schifrin basically talks about how he likes to work, which includes viewing the movie first and then coming up with ideas for the score. If you're a fan of CLASS OF 1984 then this is a must see because director Lestor really tells some terrific stories about the making of the picture. I think the best stories come towards the end when we hear about his attempt to get the film into the theater including a horrid screening where it was supposed to show with DEATH WISH II but instead got shown with PORKY'S and a bunch of teenage girls!
