I am familiar with director Manolo Caro, he only has four movies. The first one is "I Don't Know Whether to Slit My Wrists or Leave Them Long" is excellent. It is easy to see a big influence from Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar in Caro's work, he write smart relationships stories. Although he may differ from Almodovar in the color palette and Caro does not include druggies and prostitutes in his movies, his movies less dense but aimed to adult viewers.
In "The Immoral Life of the Perfect Couple" Manolo brought together very good actors and actresses like Cecilia Suárez and Paz Vega, two of the most important actresses, one from Mexico and the other form Spain. You may remember the two of them in "Spanglish" with Adam Sandler.
The direction flawless and the script is very smart, this movie is fun, fresh. I give it 10 not because your life is going to change after watching this movie, but because you are going to have a good time watching an excellent piece of work.
