I did not think THIS would be so good.
It's coming from a guy that didn't like Red Hood, which people consider the best of DC animated films. I never found it interesting at all. But this got me!!
The very first scene with Billy wearing Superman shirt and feeding the rats. Moments like these are completely lost in ANY films today.
The writing is seriously amazing!! And kudos to the voiceover too. Billy had an amazing voice. And it was funny as hell. When he was in the middle of the sky celebrating his sky and accidentally says Shazam and falls into the sea. Wonderful!!
And then there was other dialogue by Black Adam questioning what god like powers truly means and symbolism with us and ants. IT's simple but it GOT ME.
I hope David F Sandberg, the director of Shazam 2019 has seen this movie and it would be the best thing if he takes ideas and how the character of Billy should be and puts it into his movie!!
