Ali moves to Istanbul to live with with his grandfather Recep that they never met before. Recep has not seen his daughter more than 20 years due to her unapproved marriage. Recep is a lonely widower, rough, grumpy veteran. Recep's upstair neighbour Nilgun is a lonely, middle aged, university graduated modern prostitute. Recep as the building manager wants to evacuate Nilgun. The movie is about awkward reletionship among the characters.
