With so much usage of Hindi throughout the film, one might wonder if this is a Kannada or a Hindi film! When the #StopHindiImposition campaign is going full fledged, films like these are trying to impose Hindi on Kannada audiences!
The story begins with an IAS Officer going missing in Bengaluru, causing distress to his family. Their new neighbour Abhishek (Shivanna) arrives & helps them to find the IAS officer's whereabouts. The film then goes a year back where Abhishek's real identity is unveiled. The plot later unfolds in a quite interesting manner.
The film mainly shows Shivanna's role as a person with great grit & determination. He is shown as a straight-forward police officer who loves encountering criminals, without showing any mercy on them. The screenplay is quite engaging and doesn't disappoint the viewer.
The first half of the film is fast paced and keeps you hooked. The second half is longer and mostly shows the action taking place in Bihar. There are many Hindi dialogues here and you'll have a harrowing time looking at the subtitles!
Shivanna looks as fit as a fiddle and his performance stands out throughout the film! All other actors have also acted well. The cinematography is good but the background score & music is not that impressive! None of the songs are catchy enough to enthuse anyone.
All in all this movie can be watched if you're Shivanna's fan and also if you're ready for an overdose of Hindi in a Kannada film!
