This is a moving adaptation of Dostoevsky's only work from a female POV. It is theatre at its highest, it will move you and shake you in your very essence, and touch you to your core. It is a filmed adaptation of a theatre play, not a feature film. It is a loyal adaptation in the spirit of the original book by the Russian master, and directed by another Russian master of theatre: Alexander Markov. Vera Graziadei is perfect for the role, and carries the one woman show with great finesse and power at the same time, a great theatrical experience all round for those who want to dig deep within themselves: classic Dostoevsky.
