FATAL SKIES is about a pair of skydivers named Duane and Toni (J. Michael Esposito and Veronica Caruthers) who stumble -tumble?- upon a nefarious plot devised by the diabolical business magnate, Buddy Boyle (Timothy Leary!). Boyle's hillbilly henchmen are dumping toxic waste into the local water supply! Our heroes interrupt them, resulting in fiery death.
Reunited with their fellow skydiving enthusiasts, Duane and Toni attempt to involve the police to no avail. Not surprisingly, they realize that they must take the law into their own hands. This, obviously, means that these skydivers must become automatic weapons experts. Much ugly pottery is destroyed during their training.
Inane, skydivers-with-guns action unfolds.
MAN A$$ ALERT: During a "skinny-dipping" scene, there is uncalled-for, male backside nudity, shining like the moon it's named for!
LESSONS LEARNED: #1- Never hire hillbillies to handle toxic chemicals! #2- Never show up at a gunfight carrying only a glass of water! #3- Never underestimate skydivers with heavy artillery! #4- Never, ever take up a defensive position inside a rock crushing machine!
Though the finale isn't overly exciting, it does give Timothy Leary a chance at a boffo chase scene and ultimate confrontation.
Utter nonsense...
