I really love this show and recommend it to people a lot, NDEs are the most profound and convincing evidence that we existing beyond these monkey meat bodies that there is. However, I also tell people to just watch the first and last episodes, and definitely skip the media episodes. They're just too hokey.
IMO this show could have done an entire season just like episode 1, different NDE cases and discussing the evidence, then a second season just like the last episode, various cases of reincarnation and discussions of the evidential value. That would have been perfect.
As it is, it's still the best treatment of NDE research I've seen, as far as production value and presentation of the evidence.
My only criticism is that they chose to de-emphasize the "classical" NDE elements like the structure of tunnel, Light, life review, etc in spite of the fact that these are extremely common elements. There wasn't even an interview with Raymond Moody, who is still alive and has done interviews on podcasts recently. Perhaps they didn't want it to appear like covering things that have already been done, but it's pretty essential IMO.
