Mediums that we grew up with have a funny way of sticking with us as we age. And often, if we are still fond enough about them or nostalgic, than those same interests will have aged very well along with us. Assuming we also aged well lol.
What we have here is a cool all puppet casted movie, about a series of grisly murders in a woodland camping area. Thus set is the oft used but still familiar and oft loved "camp murders" scenario as the meat of the story. ITs also seemingly portrayed in the style of late weekend night B horror cable access shows. Which I love. They were very popular over the decades, and with the movies story being shot on location somewhere in the forest, it draws ya in, albeit in a somewhat cheesy way. Its still done with puppets. But if you can suspend disbelief for a little bit, you can not only have a decent time as with any other slasher flick, but support a small indie studio too thats on the rise. I gave this a quaint 6 out of 10. I hope to see more from Elmwood studios in the future but with bigger budgets and production values.
