6 December 2021
Three sympathetic and enticing scoundrels (Tony Leblanc , Manolo Gómez Bur , José Luis López Vázquez) , somehow manage to live quite well without paying tickets by using thousands of tricks , fakes , and schemes to pass free in all kinds of sporting competitions and specially to enter at the football stadium of Real Madrid by cheating the doorman . Then , the three friends along with the silly Felipe (Francisco Camoiras) enlist as volunteers for the spanish Red Cross . But they gradually change their attitudes, and their devious ways , when true love finally arrives in some beautiful girls (Mara Cruz , Ethel Rojo , Amparo Baró and Licia Calderón who married Jesús Puente) and they take over their hearts. Of course , at the end the charming trio gets their total redemption thanks to saving a group of children when an orphange in firing .

This agreeable and funny picture concerns three swindlers pull off a lot of little frauds with the intention of having free admission at sporting events , just by the fact of dressing in uniform, but things go awry and later on they changed their outlook of the situation . The flick , sponsored by the Spanish Red Cross , contains silly incidents , fun plot twists , tongue-in-cheek , grotesque situations and above all , it especially contains catching touches of humor and irony . Sitting in a strange middle ground between the completely absurd and the stylishly enjoyable . There are some nice jokes in the film and the cast , playing eccentric cheaters , make a cosy fit . It takes a simple concept , a trio of shameless friends execute petty tricks in similar style to classical films of Commedia all'Italiana of the fifties .¨Tres de la Cruz Roja (1961)¨is a comical and sometimes disconcerting account of a bunch of youngsters very fond of soccer and developed from a personal , social , cultural , and economic perspective , because needing all of them , urgently , amount of cash to resolve their problematic lives , being very strapped for cash , and while helping the people in distress as the unfortunate sick woman played by Lola Gaos . The magnificent main cast trio : Tony Leblanc , José Luis López Vázquez , Manolo Gómez Bur giving sensational acting in their usual style . While the supporting cast is frankly excellent and plenty of familiar faces , such as : Francisco Camoiras who was an expert in making short but very human roles that easily won the viewer to be reflected in their actions , Jesús Puente , Amparo Baró , Luis Morris , José Orjas , Laly Soldevila , Lola Gaos , Francisco Bernal , Fernando Delgado , Ángel Álvarez , Jesús Guzmán , Beni Deus , Rufino Inglés , José Maria Caffarel , Mario Pardo , Anibal Vela, presenter Matías Prats and the little girl Maribel Martín.

It contains a diverting screenplay from notorious writers as Rafael J Salvia and Pedro Maso , producer as well . And atmospheric and moving musical score by Augusto Alguero who married Carmen Sevilla . As well as an evocative cinematography in gorgeous color by Alejandro Ulloa , who photographed national and international successes as Bad Man's River , Goma 2 , Horror Express , Battle of the Commandos , Sugar Colt , Operation Lady Chaplin and many others. The motion picture was professionally directed by Fernando Palacios , being well and solidly paced. Fernando was a good filmmaker who directed some acceptable comedies as El dia de enamorados, Juanito, Tres de la Cruz Roja, Vuelve San Valentin, Marisol rumbo a Rio, Operacion embajada, Buscame esa chica, La familia y uno mas and Whisky y Vodka. Rating : 6.5/10 . Good Spanish comedy that will appeal to Tony Leblanc , José Luis López Vázquez and Manolo Gómez Bur enthusiasts . Worthwhile watching .
