Animals Wars is an animated film made in Russia, aiming to be a parody of American football as well as pop culture, and well, it's not bad, but it's not good, either.
In an opening ripping off the Star Wars movies (only with a narrator), in another galaxy, a planet covered mostly in water is the stage of a war between two animal tribes: the Southwest Biters and the Northeast-And-A-Little-to-The-Left Slashers, as their war has caused many causalities. Eventually, the two tribes decide to settle this with "The Game", which is basically American football with no rules.
Yeah, this is basically a animated film in the vein of 1980's Animalympics, as it focuses on a television broadcast of animals playing American football. Basically, the characters have names that are mostly puns, like Dob Berman andWalla Bee, and is mostly focused on Ed Bear, a Slasher players, on trial after the Biters slip a check in his locker room in an attempt to get him off due to being the Slasher's best player and eluding two security guards to clear his name and image.
Yeah, this is not what I call a good animated feature. The animation looks like it was done on a low budget, as the only good part is Foxy Roxy, a news reporter vixen who actually sings a song at the end (that was not present in the English dub, as it reveals a secret about the Ed Bear sub-plot). Also, there is a lot of content that is questionable for a film aimed at kids (like a beer commercial during the start of the game, and it could have used more side stories to explore other characters.
