(Disclaimer, I've never left a review on IMDb, but this film was so bad that I had to leave a review)
"Haita de Actiune" is a film that tries to pass off as a police action-parody but unfortunately fails to deliver on any level. It's 99-minutes of extremely poor taste jokes that go to the lowest levels of humor, such as paedophilia and blatant racism.
As a viewer, I was hoping that the film would use its platform to address the corruption in contemporary Romania, especially within the police force, but instead, it seemed to celebrate everything that is wrong without any moments to balance out what is funny and what is wrong.
Good comedy is able to balance laughter with reflection but this film missed the opportunity to provide any meaningful commentary or critical reflection on the issues at hand, leaving a sour taste in my mouth.
After watching "Haita de Actiune," I was shocked to think that more than a bunch of talented people took part in this film and gave it the green light, it doesn't make any sense to me. It's a poor joke that fails to entertain, enlighten or provoke thoughtful conversation. I absolutely regret contributing to its box office and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
