Fantastic and touching drama

Absolutely loved this film.

Russell Meyers carries the part of Dave Simms with dignity and respect, his relationship with Sally his dog is timeless and its a pleasure, if not sometimes very sad, seeing them on screen together, struggling to survive.

Dave shows some great chemistry and an unexpected bond with Malcky played by Kevin Horsham, who becomes a small beacon of hope and support for Dave throughout the story. The storyline is a real emotional rollercoaster ride and definitely pulled on my heartstrings on lots of occassions. It highlights the struggle veterans and sufferers of PTSD and mental health issues have to deal with on a dialy basis, in a sometimes uncaring and 'corporate world', the latter of which portrayed with relish by Heather Cairns as Council Officer Morgan, her performance was spot on.

Overall a brilliant film and very well the directed and put together, kudos to all the cast and crew for getting this one onto our screens. Highly recommended watching if you're looking for a touching and enlightening drama to a struggle our veterans still experience to this day.
