there was once a TV show called "Green Ghost and Mexsican" (not a typo) his sidekick. It was based and filmed in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

One character hands Danny Trejo a machete when they are in a jungle, he laughs and says he doesn't need no stinking machete. Danny of course played the title character in Machete (2010).

The original TV show, "Green Ghost and Mexsican", was pretty much a one-man bilingual production by lead actor & sponsor, Charlie Clark, who then & now, owns a chain of car dealerships in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. During it's first years, it was only aired on XHAB, the Televisa affiliate station across the river in Matamoros, Mexico (but was able to be viewed in the U.S. on the station's cable channel). Charlie also scripted his childhood nanny (who first taught him Spanish) into the cast of the show.
