Simona Stasová, Libuse Safránková, Ivana Andrlová and Veronika Zilková were considered for the part of Vlasta, eventually played by Alena Mihulová.
The film was selected as the Czech entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards but it was not nominated.
