I have to say that I was initially lured in to watch the 2020 "Origin Unknown" (aka "Sin Origen") because of the movie's cover. It was an interesting looking cover, so of course I was going to give the movie a go.
And turns out that writer Michael Caissie didn't really provide me with anything overly interesting or worthwhile watching. In fact, I gave up on the movie shortly before reaching the halfway milestone. Yeah, the movie was that boring and uneventful.
Sure, the concept of the storyline sounded interesting, and yes, there definitely was some potential here. But director Rigoberto Castañeda just didn't step up to the plate when it mattered. And my interest was slipping well before reaching the halfway marker. But I opted to give the movie a chance, because I hoped it would pick up.
It just never did. The storyline just trotted on in a very monotonous pacing, and I can't claim to have been entertained by the events that transpired on the screen.
The acting in the movie was adequate, just a shame that the storyline and script was working against the actors and actresses and serving as an anchor around their legs.
"Origin Unknown" is not a movie that I will be returning to watch the rest of. It just utterly failed to entertain me, and I can't claim to have any interest in the storyline or characters.
I am rating "Origin Unknown" a generous three out of ten stars.

No pun intended - and while I am referring to something in the movie (or is it someone?), you may take this as point of reference when it comes to the movie as a whole ... as in this being a B-horror movie and having the usual things you may expect or even fear in it (another pun? Very likely if you know me).
The effects are good for the low budget this has - but you may have issues. We may have seen similar movies and yet this can be exciting and suspensful. If you can suspend your disbelief that is of course. As the poster of course also suggest, there will be blood (no pun intended) and it will go places that some sensible souls may have issues with too ... be aware of all those things ... and if that is something you want to see or not.

The most pointless movie ever!
They mix Ninja + Parkour + Ouija Board + Vampire + a lot of blood.
I think the writer was delirious when wrote this plot. Only the parkour scene was fine!

A crazy Mexican attempted horror movie.
It is about a girl who comes to a house and beings from another world arrive for her, believing that it is an attack for a debt and not for a girl.
Quality.
It starts well, it falls and in the end it has the right moments.
Parsimonious to the extreme.
Good shots and most of the dismemberment effects are well done.
Some poorly executed action stunts.
Too much obscene language.
Some good performances and some exaggerated.
The girl's story is poorly planned, she is a girl who later turns out to be a vampire.
She never reveals who the attackers are, things just happen and nonsense or undeveloped.
The ending taken from Twilight the saga.
Even Chabelo and Pepito against the monsters were scarier.
Moral: Don't accept a vampire girl in your home.
