Asher Keddie was nominated for a 2015 Logie Award in the Most Popular Personality on Australian Television category for her role as Kate Ballard.
On 3 October 2014 along with Offspring (2010), John Edwards confirmed that Party Tricks would not return for a second series in 2015, due to Ten's production division running out of money.
Rodger Corser (David McLeod), Charlie Garber (Oliver Parkham) & Angus Sampson (Wayne Duffy) also worked together on Spirited (2010) as Steve Darling, Adam & Zach Hannigan respectively.
Both Asher Keddie and Roger Corser acted in the television show 'Rush' where they had a very similar relationship to their one in 'Party Tricks'.
Filming began on 5 May 2014 and wrapped on 27 June 2014.
