Not a bad movie. Although I'm not a fan of the "crime pays" theme here. One thing I found amusing is the scenes where you see mountains in the background. I'm from Michigan and take it from me, the area around Flint is about as flat as it gets. The nearest mountains are in the UP, which is about 300 miles away! They should have paid a little more attention to details.
Didn't really get it. Vincent was supposed to be the good guy, but was a bit spineless. His mate Bill was made to look the fool, yet had managed ok until Vincent shows up.
Vincent you're led to believe is struggling with ethics when he comes across as entitled and yet Bill the bad guy (who gets what he deserves?) really isn't being anthything but accommodating and maybe lacking the 'morals' of Vincent. And yet Vincent was there for all his deviations.
Pretentious.

I had twenty years without leave a movie theater until yesterday. I did attend this movie at Sanfic, guided by the rating (8,4), buy i did not saw that only 7 people had reviewed it. Surely the family of the director. The film was full of clichés and every take was a deep pain. The story is stupid, an the general look is like a soft porn movie without the sex parts... Sad, very sad movie,
The story is stupid. Slow, no logic. Simply an ambitious entrepreneur becoming drug dealer, comiting murder, witnessing murder, cheating gf, cheating police making his way and getting away with all this.

When the lead actor is the producer, Director, screenwriter - etc. You take your chances. Glad I didn't pay to see this. Too cliche and no depth to the characters. Like a Lifetime movie, for the Wolf generation.
I like a good "Do what it takes to win" movie with entrepreneur fighting for his success. It will become an iconic movie or a reminisce of when pot was illegal. I got behind this movie after a friend told me about it. I am really surprised this movie did not go mainstream. Watch it if you get the chance.

Amazing film I watched in Catalina Island Film Fest in California last week. The film is thrilling but also very human and I enjoyed every minute of it. The ending is amazing with a great message about integrity (at least I think) . The actors were subtle and very good. The film is great, I'm wondering when it's going to be available on TV or Netflix. I hope it will.

A great thriller that kept me at the edge of my seat through out the whole movie. Loved the chemistry and acting of both father and son. All the actors were great as well. I watched the film at the Premiere in Montreal with my friends and we enjoyed the evening very much. Later we met the filmmaker and actors for a Q&A. Loved the experience meeting the cast and crew. Really nice and down to earth people. I recommend this film.
