Nico is an actor ,who has made a mediocre MTV work called " Le Cerisier Dans Les Landes " (the cherry tree in The Landes);he's got a wife and three kids and works as a radio host while waiting for another part in a movie.His craving for fame and glory knows no bounds ;he can only marvel at the way some dominate their audience ("did Di Caprio really make all these movies in one year?").
One day ,opportunity knocks: a phone call tells him that a director did love his work in his unique movie ("but it was a lousy film " says the wife )and want to cast him as the lead in his next movie.
To write more would be a spoiler: there's a lot of humor, even black humor and proof positive that the Cesar award,so much coveted by French actors,can be a double-edged weapon .
