When Bill sets up his automated machine gun, he sets it with the barrel aimed down the hill, and leans a camouflaged board against the muzzle to conceal it from the river. But when he takes remote control of it the barrel is pointed up into the trees and he has to take a few seconds to depress the gun so it can fire down the hill.
During the opening scene of a raid on the cabin, Bill is seen with an AT4 rocket launcher. These rocket launchers have a color coded band on them to indicate the use of that particular launcher. The AT4 shown in the cabin has a solid yellow band, indicating an inert launcher used solely for instructional and training purposes; it contains no explosives of any sort. An actual active HE (High Explosive) AT4 would be coded with either a solid black band or a black and yellow band.
While the team that went looking for the terrorist maintained words such as SWAT on the jackets they wore, there were no actual tactics deployed in the attempted apprehension of the suspect. The team did not act in a manner of a true SWAT team.
During the FBI raid on Williamson's cabin, the barrel of one of the agents' pistol is visibly plugged, making it impossible to fire.
Williamson is one of the most dangerous terrorists in the world but the FBI agents who go to arrest him are not wearing any helmets or body armor.
The two lead special agents did not act, dress, or groom appropriately for their roles, but the badges they wore are clearly not FBI badges. The FBI's badge is much smaller, not a shield as depicted in the film.
