There's always a fine balance to be achieved when mixing genres successfully and horror comedy is one of those pairings that more often than not ends in failure but sometimes, when the balance is right, you get something that looks kind of like The Fiancé: a ridiculous premise that perfectly lends itself to a bit of schlock and man, it looks like a ton of fun.
Written and directed by Mark Allen Michaels, The Fiancé stars TV personality Carrie Keagan (she of Sharknado 4 and Syfy's Dead 7) as a vacationing bride to be who is bitten by Bigfott, turning her into a monster who wants to kill everyone including her fiancé, played here by newcomer Dallas Valdez who falls somewhere between a bit player from Tommy Wiseau's The Room and Di [Continued ...]...

Firebreathing Films has unleashed the first peek to its upcoming bloody Bigfoot thriller The Fiancé.
I don't know what I was expecting, but I was genuinely surprised by the trailer. The production is top notch, camera work is stellar and it has certainly piqued my interest. Check it out for yourself below the official details.
You can also check out our recent interview with writer-director Mark Allen Michaels here.
From The Press Release
Starring Carrie Keagan (“Fetish Factory”), Douglas Tait (“Star Trek”), and Curt Lambert (“Mind Rage”), the trailer shows how Michael (newcomer Dallas Valdez) goes from an in-love fiancé to a “stone cold killer” when his bride-to-be Sara (Keagan) is bitten by Sasquatch (Tait). Between the gory mayhem, we see there’s a mystery in the lovers’ back story – what kind of a deal has Michael made with Sara’s father?

I recently reached out to Mark Michaels, director of the upcoming and buzzed about Bigfoot feature The Fiancé, to ask him about the making of the film. To say the least, his answers have me very excited to see the movie. You can read our discussion here:
Jw: I know nothing about The Fiancé except that it is a crime drama with Bigfoot in it, which to be honest is pretty unique. Tell me a little about the film.
Mm: There is a crime drama element to it, but it’s not Sasquatch making offers people can’t refuse or anything like that – he’s still in the forest as a wild creature, as usual. What makes him different is that he’s infected and very aggressive. His virus is contagious. The criminal activity aspect of the movie is revealed in flashbacks, and as the...
