As in the title, I only watched five minutes of this "special." I've enjoyed so many Netflix standup specials so I was excited for another female comedian. Very disappointing. Awkward jokes and mostly just the comedian listening to herself talk.
8 minutes in and I've had enough. I agree with another reviewer who stated that she loves the sound of her own voice. Also, she affects a dialect that is, well, affected. Badly. And not at all funny.
SO glad that I didn't pay anything for this program and only lost 8 minutes of my life.

I was not familiar with Anjelah Johnson prior to finding the "Not Fancy" standup comedy show on Netflix. I do enjoy standup comedy, so I decided to take the time to sit down and watch this, as I might have been missing out on something great.
Well, let's just say that I ended up turning off this Netflix special after just about 20 minutes. 20 minutes of not laughing or being particularly amused in any possible way.
I suppose that the humor of Anjelah Johnson just didn't go well with me and certainly didn't match my own sense of humor. So this was not something that appealed to me. And I have no plans to return to watch the rest of it, or to catch up on any other of her shows, if she have any.
Not amused with this one...

Should have been titled "Not Funny" instead of Not Fancy. Didn't even crack a smile once, while audience must have been either drunk or paid to laugh.
No thanks. When you make a joke out of someone's disability, you are lazy and cruel.
