Writer Adam Webber wrote the first draft of 'DOTT: Department of Time Travel' in 2010. It was written with lead actor and producer Paul Root in mind to star. Webber handed the script to Root at a Christmas party that year, saying "I wrote this for you. You're the lead. I hope you like it."
