This film essentially begins with a treasure hunter by the name of "Paul Giles" (Christopher Schwandt) finding the grave of an infamous cult leader named Brandon LaCroix and failing to heed the precise instructions of his employer picking up the skull to view it. When he does that an evil curse changes him into a flesh eating zombie. Meanwhile, not too far away six young adults have decided to go to an old cabin for the weekend and hang out. While driving there, however, they accidentally hit Paul not realizing what he has become. And upon checking him out one of the young ladies named "Sara" (Donna Flacks) is bitten by him. Naturally, they immediately drive to the cabin in order to call for medical assistance but in the meantime Paul has stumbled upon other campers in a nearby recreation park which has caused the zombie population to substantially increase. Not only that, but Sara is also beginning to change which creates other problems for those in the cabin as well. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this zombie movie had its usual share of problems that most low-budget productions of this sort typically experience. For starters, the makeup and special effects were rather cheap-looking and the acting for the most part could have also used some improvement. Having said that, however, there were some good scenes here and there and the director (Tommy Brunswick) at least deserves some credit for not ruining it completely by making it into a trashy zom-com and for that reason I have cut it a little slack and rated it as just below average.
