The story is simple, the performances - well. But what defines it is the atmosphere. It could be a modern fairy tale or an adaptation of English novel. And that is the point - it reminds. Not clear what but , maybe, a state of soul more than precise lectures of facts. So English in each detail, so delicate crafted, using the silence and the looks in wise way, proposing the kiss in the boat and the not surprising reaction, the desired end and the poetry of landscapes, the fair cinematography , it is , in essence, a large ball of lovely memories and fantaisies. And it works in beautiful manner for that.
