The official website for the Ashura anime series released a teaser trailer today for its upcoming second season. The new clip announces the next season is set to premiere in Japan in January 2025. The site also revealed three new voice cast members who will join for Seson 2. The anime's official X (formerly Twitter) is streaming short clips to introduce their character voices. Of the three, only Kuuro's voice is also revealed in the teaser trailer above. Popular anime series “Kaiju No. 8” may have just concluded its inaugural season on Crunchyroll, and the streaming service announced over the weekend that production is already underway on a sequel season.

Crunchyroll will broadcast the series’ return in 200 territitories and countries worldwide, with broadcast information Tba.

Production I.G (Psycho-Pass; Ghost in the Shell) animates the series, with kaiju artwork and design supervision by Studio Khara (Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition, Shin Godzilla (Pre Visualization Development)). The anime is adapted from the original manga created by Naoya Matsumoto.

Hit Japanese anime series Kaiju No. 8 is getting a second season. Shortly after the credits rolled on the show’s season-one finale Saturday, global specialty streamer Crunchyroll revealed that work is already underway at the storied Japanese anime studio Production I.G for a follow-up story arc. Crunchyroll says it will stream the season two return of Kaiji No. 8 in over 200 countries, with the specific release plans to be revealed at a later date.

Kaiju No. 8 is adapted from the original manga created by Naoya Matsumoto. The show is animated by Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell) with kaiju artwork and design supervision by Studio Khara (Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition, Shin Godzilla).

The series is directed by Shigeyuki Miya (director and character designer of Onihei) and Tomomi Kamiya (Yotsuiro Biyori), with composition and scriptwriting by Ichiro Okouchi (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury).

Crunchyroll is carving out a monster-sized home for the launch of the eagerly anticipated Kaiju No. 8. For the first time, the ultimate destination for anime will stream new episodes of the series live every week in more than 200 countries and territories around the world at the same time as it broadcasts in Japan, starting on Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 pm Ist.

Japanese singer-songwriter Yu-ka's official YouTube channel began streaming a dance lyric dance video for her latest song, "Rouge," the opening theme for the winter 2024 TV anime Metallic Rouge . The song was included in her first full album "Brighter" released on January 17. Kenichiro Shimizu, who specializes in CG, Ar, and VFX direction, directed the lyric dance video shot inside a 4-sided LED panel. Yu, of the dance company Elevenplay led by director/choreographer Mikiko, participated as a performer. The official website for the upcoming stage play adaptation of Makoto Yukimura's adventure manga series Vinland Saga released individual visuals for the 14 main cast members today, each in their character costumes. The Vinland Saga stage play is scheduled to perform at Kokumin Kyosai coop Hall / Space Zero in Tokyo from April 19 to 29, 2024. General sales of the 11,000 yen (73 Usd) tickets opened on February 18. The stage play is directed by Daisuke Nishida, who has worked on adaptations of popular anime and game series, such as Steins;Gate (2013) and Blood Blockade Battlefront (2019-2021). The story of the stage play is divided into two chapters — "The End of the Sea" and "Hero Resurrection" — both of which will perform eight times each at the same venue. "The End of the Sea" focuses on Thorfinn, the son of a warrior who was said to be the strongest of all, while "Hero Resurrection" features Canute, the second prince of Denmark.

The official YouTube channel for Korean singe Dazbee has started streaming a music video for her latest digital single song "Scarlet," which is now featured as the ending theme for the winter 2024 TV anime Metallic Rouge . Netflix just partnered with two big names in anime, and together the three our co-producing more anime to be streamed worldwide. Ann said Netflix, Bones, and Production I.G. all joined forces in a joint deal to strengthen the streaming service's anime lineup. 

They certainly appear to be on the right track as they just snagged up the studios responsible for titles like Full Metal Alchemist, Space Dandy, Soul Eater, Blood Blockade Battlefront, Ghost In The Shell, Flcl...I could go on and on.
