Filmmaker Robert Firth, in addition to collaborating with his original cast of over a hundred actors, shot more than ninety hours of footage. It was initially slated to be a feature. The project was filmed over a period of four years - mostly on weekends. The total length of time, from pre-production to post production, spanned well over a decade, taking some thirteen years to finish. Upon the completion of principal photography, Firth had reviewed the finished product and dissatisfied with the outcome, decided to re-shoot many of the sequences, rewrite much of the narration and re-edit the entire film himself. In 2011, the film was finally released as a short.
