When the cat falls off the roof and towards the press gathering below, there is no sign of the cat at the bottom, or any reaction from any of the press gathered to a cat falling off the top of a skyscraper.
When the cat makes several attempts to jump up into the drinks cabinet the front door of the cabinet gets scratched by the cat's claws. Slightly later on in the film Lara (Jennifer Garner) goes to the drinks cabinet and there isn't a mark on it.
When the cat jumps across the doorway, Madison and Lara are facing the camera with David, Rebecca and Nicole behind them. Nicole is recording the scene on her phone, facing the back of the cat. But the scene the security guards see was taken from the movie camera angle, not Nicole's phone. Plus, David, Rebecca and Nicole aren't in the background of the footage the guards are watching.
When the cat opens the pen ink is spilled over a picture of Tom Brand with George W Bush. However in a following shot the picture is visible in the background with no ink.
When Tom goes into cardiac arrest, and they use the paddles on him, they do it through his gown. It needs to be on the skin with conductive gel to conduct the electricity to his heart.
When they discuss "pulling the plug" on Tom, the doctor says that Lara will have to sign a DNR, and then they will "take him off the respirator". He wasn't on a respirator. He was breathing on his own, with a nasal cannula. There was no plug to pull.
There are many mentions that Brand's tower will be the tallest in the northern hemisphere. The top 24 tallest buildings in the world are all in the northern hemisphere, so tallest building in the northern hemisphere would have to be tallest in the world. It is very odd for the news and media to refer to the building as tallest in the northern hemisphere rather than tallest in the world, which it would have to be.
While jumping off from the roof of the skyscraper, it did not show any parachute on David's back. However at the time of jumping from the roof it shows the parachute out of no where.
When the cat is seen jumping across a doorway in Tom Brand's apartment it starts to run as it finishes twisting in mid air and appears to descend. This shows shot has been added in during post production as the cat was quite obviously filmed landing onto a perspex landing pad in special effects and then matted into the scene. This same mistake is later repeated when the two security guards are watching and laughing at the same scene on a cellphone.
In the UK version when David Brand confronts Ian Cox about selling the company behind his family's back he is ordered off the premises whilst two security guards stand behind him. David then says something derogatory about Cox needing two "bouncers" but just as he gets to the word 'bouncers' there is a cut away from David talking to a different shot and the word 'bouncers' is said in a different voice. This indicates that the word 'bouncers' has been dubbed over a suggested expletive in order for the film to have a family friendly PG rating in the UK. It is unknown if the same cut appears in the US release of the film.
In the credits, the title of the Cat Stevens LP seen in Mr. Perkins' shop is misidentified as "Teaser on the Firecat" instead of "Teaser and the Firecat."
