A professional dancer has fallen out of love with the career she has left behind her previous life for' and sets off a journey to re-connect with her old social circle in order to centre herself. The problem is not everyone is as glad to see her as she expected and she no longer fits into their new lives they have made since she left.
This is the classic coming of age issue when people who were extremely close in their teenage years move into adulthood, with some more reluctant to do so than others. Its effective enough and seems to capture the growing ambivalence and outright hostility of people dealing with forced changes.
Although its about a dancer there is not much dancing in the movie, Swan Lake this is not.
The actors do a good enough job of capturing young adults attitudes and mannerisms. The electronic score wasn't very enjoyable however, it sounded like a keyboard demo song and the musical style already sounds dated.
If you enjoyed films like Thirteen or other female young adult focused movies this will also be an enjoyable watch.
