Excellent 11-minute interview with Jess Franco expert Stephen Thrower. The author not only discusses the importance of VAMPYROS LESBOS on the director's career but this also goes into details about his working relationship with the producer on the film as well as discusses the other movies they made together. Thrower certainly knows his stuff when it comes to Franco as he manages to not only discuss the film but also compare to it previous films and how the director changed. It's interesting to hear his thoughts on COUNT Dracula and its failures and how this might have impacted VAMPYROS LESBOS. Another interesting aspect is getting to hear about the censorship in Spain that kept the film unreleased until 1974 and when it finally came out it was an alternate version. Anyone interesting in the film in question will certainly enjoy this featurette.
