Watched it last night at Cinepax multiplex and man what a laughter ride it was, being Pakistani movie i was expecting it to be some typical copy of some Bollywood flicks but man they took it to whole new level. The whole cast did some awesome job to pull a genuine Pakistani comedy especially the one-liners throughout the movie were top-notch. Although it has some flaws when it comes to costumes i mean what is the purpose of going to that road of Bollywood when you can do it far better without it. One thing which was surprising form me is its music, it was enjoyable with nicely choreographed dances. All in all JPNA is not your average Bollywood like chick flick its original Pakistani entertainment so grab your tickets and watch it.

Last night i randomly went to theater and instantly decided to watch "JAWANI PHR NAHI ANI" i haven't seen any teaser or trailer before but I must say excellent effort by director and full cast of the movie Nadeem Baig sahab good job. Entertaining Funny. Flow of the movie was amazing, character were properly synchronized, Good music and direction. Ismail Tara was good sometimes seemed like overacting. But Hamayoun Saeed Hamza Ali But, Vassy were amazing. I personal met ali he is a nice person. Over all very good effort and please keep it up. Waiting for more from you guys. Girls were also good though they didn't get much chances but over all performance was excellent.
BEST OF LUCK
BEST OF LUCK
JPNA is a total commercial movie which gives you everything you want. It has comedy, beautiful locations, amazing music and good acting. The strength of the film is its strong punchlines and good script. Overall story of the film is ORIGINAL (according to my knowledge). The film is made for Pakistani audience and Pakistani public will understand and enjoy it. Don't even think of missing this movie. Music of the film is extremely powerful and fun to listen and dance. You can point out 1000 mistakes in the music if you analyze it critically but if you want to just enjoy the music, then this album is the best of the recent times. JPNA is a must watch
I expected nothing from this movie when I went to see it. I thought it's Pakistani so why not support it. The impression I had of the movie from the promotions was of a mediocre copy of a ton of Bollywood and Hollywood movies. But I had seen two Pakistani comedies recently - Na Maloom Afraad and Wrong No. - which were good so I hoped JPNA was something like that.
But JPNA not only surpassed all my expectations, it surprised me and it took Pakistani film standard to a whole another level (just like Khuda Kay Liye did when it came out, and the same with Waar).
The comedy material of this movie is highly original and entertaining thanks to the writer Vasay Chaudhry. I literally laughed out loud throughout the film. I actually appreciated the song breaks so I could catch my breath.
I was a bit reserved towards the costumes of the women and some of the drinking related scenes/situations. Not because I am not used to it, but because expecting it to be a Pakistani film, maybe it should not go down that road. But all in all what I did appreciate wholeheartedly was the type of comedy it was. Not forceful or sex-oriented, which movies with these type of topics tend to be. It was a good and clean comedy that you can enjoy with both friends and family.
The director Nadeem Baig did a very good job by holding everything together, getting the best out of the actors and making sure the movie gets a grand scale, and the movie paced smoothly, unlike Wrong No. which dragged a bit. It did not feel like or look like a low budget film, also because of all the actors who were superb in their acting and comedic timing. A special mention to Humayun Saeed who you definitely have not seen like this before. He was so good!
Go watch this with an open mind and take it as it is: A comedy film (Maybe more suited for the Pakistani audience because a lot of jokes and one liners are directed towards the Pakistani people, but I believe non-Pakistanis will also enjoy this). Highly recommended.

Great acting and comedy movie. It is better than many Bollywood movies. It is better than Kis Kisko Pyar karoon by kapil sharma. Hamayon Saeed, Hamza Abbasi and all actors did a great job. A very good production and cinematography by ARY films. The story is good and there is flow and continuity in the story. There are no bad patches. The movie does not create any confusion for the audience. It makes you laugh and smile all the 150 minutes. It is a worth watching movie. There are few scenes of drinking which could have been avoided. There was no need of Russian girls in bikini dresses. Music is good and relevant but mostly Punjabi based songs.

10/10....Brilliant Movie, Best Pakistani Mover Ever, Full of Comedy!!!
The story of 'Jawani Phir Nahi Aani' revolves around three best friends who are depressed about their lives owing to their wives and desperately want a breath of fresh air to live.
In the wake of their 'miserable' scenario, Saeed, a US-based lawyer returns to Pakistan to add some masala in his friends' lives.
Also, in the film, veteran film actor Javed Sheikh will be seen as Mehboob Khan while Bushra Ansari and Ismail Tara are also in the film.
According to the Box Office Asia website, which predicts and announces regularly on films earning business on box office, it was stated along with 'JPNA', four films had opened at the box office and after the release 'JPNA; has collected a record breaking number of Rs 20 million.
Early reports about the film indicated it crossed the Rs 15 million but on the first two days after the film screened at cinemas, it earned Rs 20 million owing to the support assisted by cinema's night shows. The houseful late night shows actually helped 'JPNA' break previous records.

Too much hype was created for movie but it was not that good. Story was combo of 2-3 Bollywood movies like Masty,Housefull 2, story is quite average. Music is too poor,BGM is average as for comedy movie but not genuine,Bollywood's famous tunes on funny situations. But overall songs and music is pathetic, you can't understand the lyrics and what you understands is not worth listening, even in cinema you can't tolerate the songs with pathetic music, lyrics and choreography. Acting of Ahmed Butt and Vasay Chaudhary is too good.Their Dialogue delivery and timing of punch lines uplifts the movie while Hamza was in movie only for his looks, fan following and friends. Overall its an average movie with adult comedy, not a family movie, Karachi to Lahore was far much better compared to it in every perspective.

I went to see the movie here in California, thinking the movie would be a 6-7 out of 10, but once the movie started I couldn't believe how funny the movie was. People literally had tears in their eyes laughing, we couldn't believe some of the jokes could be that blunt. And it wasn't that movie was funny only in parts, it was just hilarious through out. Humayun Saeed I thought had been okay in recent movies, but in this movie he completely changed and did an excellent job. He had real expressions and moves. Movie has a pretty big cast, and all of them did an excellent job. Number one in the list of comedy movies (including Hollywood). So a 9.5 out of 10 for me.
This is my 2nd review for a Pakistani movie. I have had this movie for long but did not get a chance to watch it. Recently watched Na Maloom Afraad and looking at high ratings for this movie, I decided to watch it. I was not able to enjoy the last 30 min or so of the movie due to poor audio. May be I'll have to wait for a better print for the movie.
Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (JPNA) movie is better than Na Maloom Afraad as it does have some really funny moments. Though very heavily borrowed 1st half from Masti and 2nd half from Housefull 2 and in between some inputs from No Entry as well.
JPNA movie mainly depends on the talent of the lead actors and their comic timings. I don't individually know their names but all 4 male protagonist acts well. Amongst the females Bushra Ansari was a show stealer rest all were ordinary
The poor part of the movie is its Technical aspect. Music is also very ordinary. Second half also gets slow and repetitive
Though I rate it 6 but I can neglect flaws and will give one extra i.e 7 as the movie did provide me instances that are funny. Overall just a mash up of Bollywood movies but a decent watch due to good acting and comic one liners.

First of all I never wanted to watch this movie as I didn't think I would like it. but I was made to go and due to its ratings I believed it might be good but after watching I have no idea why is it so over-rated, I mean it was just such a Waste Of Time for the following reasons:
-Humayun Saeed should really say "Bye Bye" to acting as he looks too old for the actresses and his dialogue delivery has gone from bad to worse - The one thing I hated more than anything were the cheap promotion of products like Tarang, Fair & Lovely and Voice Mobile
This movie was something in which any person could act in as everyone was doing freelance acting, there was no direction or script to it.
The only reason why I suppose it has worked is because of Hamza Ali Abbasi, Vassay Chaudhry and Ahmed Ali Butt who provided a bit of laughter otherwise this movie was Really Pathetic. If you really want to see a movie and laugh till your sides hurt Wrong Number will be a better option.
- First of All this movie had no Story what so ever, it was just a khichdi of Indian Movies Like: No Entry and Masti
- Sohai although having so much more potential had no other line to say apart from "Lets take a Selfie" & "Pout Boys" and was acting like a wannabe Kareena Kapoor
- Javed Sheikh was the biggest disappointment as he just kept on blabbering meaningless stuff as if he had no lines
- Mehwish Hayat was just there to threaten people into falling in love with her and

This Movie will make you laugh for whole 150 minutes Each and every scene is one of a kind you will laugh your heart out during this movie. Its a complete package. Comedy Action lacks a bit in story but the comedy portion covers every flaw in the movie. All the Actors were complementing each others A bit bold for Pakistani Audience but as they say demand of the script so a must watch Entertainer Go Support Pakistani Cinema and its Revival. There aren't better movies then this in town right now. The movie surely gonna change your mood. Enjoy you EId holiday with Jawani Phir NIH Ani, Support their effort and one more thing You will love the different references from past movies

I was thinking of taking my mom at Jawani Pher Nahi Aani, but glad that I didn't. It is a comedy movie with a lot of short dresses and alcoholic drinks which really doesn't make it a family movie.
It does have really good story but a lot of dialogues, ideas and scenes were adopted from different Pakistani movies and dramas. Even the whole sequence from different movies were copied and replayed in this movie, which was defiantly an effort to make the film more comic, but it certainly was less creative.
Even though it is an amazing movie which gave me a lot of laughs, it does have lot of things that put this movie in the list of the worst movies of all time. First of all Mr. Baig should understand that sex doesn't sell at all. The movie portray really rich class of Pakistani society that doesn't care about their cultural values. About 90% of Pakistani people want to watch a movie with their families and it is really not suitable for a family to see four Pakistani guys dancing and drinking with girls in bikinis and Pakistani ladies wearing really short skirts. Mr. Baig must understand the reason for films like Khuda Kay Liye, Waar, Bol and namaloom afrad's success was that those record-breaking films had their own original stories, cast and they did not copy anything from Bollywood. One of the real strong points of this movie was acting especially Sarwat Gilani did fabulous job and her acting was really strong. The character of Bushra Ansari was good as well, but since they were copying many things from other movies, I would have liked it if they had portrayed her as Saima Chaudhry from Azar ki Ayegi Baraat because she is the Punjabi speaking wife of a businessman anyway in this movie. Camera angle and direction was really good but director used so much effects to reduce face marks and cuts that all actors look like plastic in close-up shots. Vasy Chaudry's writings are always impressive and this movie can be one of his prides. One of the scenes in which Hamza asks him to do something and what he does in reaction made me laugh so much that it brought tears in to my eyes. A total 10/10 to writer. I don't understand the logic in showing scenes where actors are smoking but a note that Smoking Kills is also provided on the screen. Like, if you really know that smoking kills, then why would you chose to advertise it or even put it in the film? It really doesn't change the story a bit if character is not smoking. Apparently, sensor board failed to realize that drinking also kills. If this warning goes with smoking then it should have went out with all the scenes in which characters drank as well. Overall this movie is worth watching but I would rather watch it after deleting all scenes that are not suitable in family sitting. They add nothing to the story. It really is a nice effort by Mr Baig and entire team. I would end it by saying it's a good movie with some flaws. BUT REMEMBER, THIS IS NOT A FAMILY MOVIE.

Its a good attempt as far as Pakistani cinema is concerned. The sets were great, acting was good by all the actors, music was fine, cinematography was wonderful however the plot was extremely weak. I found glimpses of Indian movies such as masti, house full and no entry. Despite the fact that we all should encourage Pakistani cinema but at the same time we need to identify the mistakes to make it a better one. I believe we should come up with our own ideas rather than copy pasting from different movies. That is the only way we can raise the standard of our movies or else actual cinemagoer will eventually get jaded by the monotonous scripts from different movies.

yes, when u r watching movie u would find story quite familiars with some other movies of Hollywood and bollywood, but after leaving the cinema u would b still laughing from the jokes and good feeling that u did'NT waste your money... i would admit plot is not quite original but, yes, its also requires lots of talent to make an unoriginal story into such a fun ride, roller coaster ride.plus, acting was on the top of the notch, every actor did justice to his/her character, making u love them all.
the timing of jokes, quick lines, unexpected twist, strong performances, happy ending, a social message is what which make this movie a sure blockbuster.. so yes go out and watch this movie for sure

I Was lucky to watch it on its day of release and the House was Full. You might not say that story was great but it was GOOD.It Was Best After Na Maloom Afraad. The special thing about the movie is its cast and the comic factor it brings to you.The movie is Full Of Laughter and you will definitely Gonna Love it.Hamayoun surprises me yet again after Bin Roye.Hamza ali abbasi was upto the mark.Sohai and mehwish were good too.Vasay and ahmad job well done.Songs were entertaining. Bushra was good but similar to roles she has done before ,needs to bring some versatility in Her Roles In Future.Javed Sheikh Is Seen In Every Upcoming Movie And Does Good in everything He is in .IT IS A PERFECT COMEDY FULL WITH LOCAL JOKES AND YOU CANT HELP LAUGHING!

Aoa , just watched this flick on Eid 2nd day , after watching the trailer expectations were sky high but JPNA failed to fulfill all expectations . It was not that great but even not that bad too , some where in between average and good . It had few funny moments especially Ahmad Butt dialogs were very funny and rib tickling , every time he came on screen the laughter started and he kept us glued to screen but the rest of the cast was not up to the mark . Actally 1st half of the movie before interval was very nice and the plot was building up nicely but after interval the movie went no where a lot of characters ruined it with out giving away much information about each character . Especially Sohai's character in the movie came out of no where so plot definitely had some lope holes , so after interval every thing was happening so fast that it seemed Miss mash every where . The comedy was not at par with the Indian movies and all the people in the hall were forcefully laughing . One liners were quite good though . The movie also made some fun of critically acclaimed films like Waar , Bol , Main hon Shahid Afridi and drama pyaray afzal all references were used in different dialogs . The cast was very big . Humayun Saeed started well when he had serious dialogs but doesn't know ABCD of comedy , Hamza was good , Vasay was very good , Ahmad Butt was excellent , Ayesha Khan was OK , Sarwat was best female actor in movie , sohai was good , mehwish was just OK , Bushra ansari , javed sheikh and Ismail Tara did their part OK . Songs were very good especially Dance the party. Choreography was awesome too i mean places shown etc but dance in almost all songs was awful only Sohai and humayun danced a little bit well Ahmad butt also danced quite well in Khul Jaye Botal otherwise all the dances were totally crap . But still this movie is not a game changer it may do block buster business but commercially it lacked the power punch. It will look like a little baby in front of average bollywood comedy flick so Pakistani cinema needs to work hard on comedy movies and should come up with fresh scripts to give power packed entertainment. Some people may differ from my opinion it depends upon taste , any way nice gift for fans on this Eid . Overall 6/10.
It is an exciting and worth watching movie, a full entertainment package. The best of all Pakistani movies produced so far. Specially humour content was of high quality and really amusing. Wasey Chaudhary showed master comedy skills with best and extempore dialogue delivery. I liked songs as well, however, minor choreography issues. It is a nice attempt by ARY Films and say good luck to complete team. Last word of advice, with such a great content you don't need to show vulgarity to promote it in media. I think some scenes were over-vulgar and really not needed. I was never expecting Pakistani Film industry flourishing so well.

alright... so lets start first of all, I appreciate the entire revival of Pakistani cinema, but there is one thing film makers need to understand; and that is the film genre itself, the entire universe if you may; is not mature enough to commentate or make fun of itself. That being said, this movie is not for the one-off movie goer. The movie is chalked full of references from movies like 'WAAR' and 'Mein Hun Shahid Afridi'. I referred this movie to my friends and realized 10 minutes into the movie that all the slap-stick comedy is going to fall flat on non-native Pakistanis. The pacing of the movie is terrible. The dialogue is loose and very poorly written. The editing and cutting is really fast and at some times feel very over-produced. This movie has absolutely nothing going on for it. The entire premise of comedy is based around a very sleazy premise. absolutely no story, no plot and no pacing.... wait I already said that ;)
Compared to other good movies coming out of Pakistan like 'Dukhtar', 'Bol' and 'Khuda k Liye', the first one of which was actually shown to a foreign crowd at the Munich film festival and garnered unprecedented praise, this is movie is actually CRAP !

I have to say I am pretty shocked and dumbfounded that this film has received such positive feedback. In fact, 50% of the audience left within the 5 mins after the film had started, not only older folks but younger Pakistanis as well.
The plot was choppy, the dialogue was raunchy, costumes were inappropriate, and overall NOT a family watch. Lets start with the jokes and one liners. They were highly in appropriate and 90% contained many references to adult content. There were numerous instances my friend and I literally cringed in shock at the one liners, for instance during the massage parlor scene, the bedroom scene with the father in law, and the affair scenes.
The film is being marketed as a Pakistani family film, but the costumes were completely westernized and way to much skin bearing for both genders. I understand, glamor and fashion is part of the film industry, but it took Bollywood several years and burning of several cinema halls to get to the stage they are currently, hence Pakistan needs to slow down and concentrate on making good stories and plots rather than focusing solely on the glitz and glamor in this early stage.
Additionally, there were far too many scenes promoting drinking and alcohol. I use the word promoting, because the perception was "drinking and clubbing is cool". There is already a sense of identity crisis among the American- Muslims living in western countries regarding this lifestyle, and portraying this image is further adding fuel to the fire. This is a great opportunity for the Pakistani Film Industry to create meaningful and beautiful stories that can be used to alleviate the negative image media has created regarding Pakistan and Muslims. I understand, slap stick comedy and glamor sells and is key to make money, but the film should have been advertised for what it truly is, an adult oriented comedy tailored for the younger/mature generation rather than a family film.
Furthermore, the acting and plot development was mediocre. The actors did not maintain a consistent personality, and jumped all over the place. Having watched numerous Pakistani dramas, it was disappointing to see these well trained actors reading cheesy lines and acting drunk! The only actor that shined, brought real comedy, and entertainment was Bushra Ansari. She is absolutely a treat to watch on screen! She has perfect timing, delivery, and facial expressions and I thoroughly enjoyed her scenes! Regarding Humayun Saeed, quite frankly he had on way to much foundation than needed and did not suit the role. He is a mature and well trained actor, and needs to maintain his image as such. Hamza Ali Butt, generally being a good comedian was awkward yet fit the role. His personality did not stay consistent throughout the film and he turned into a sissy cry baby towards the end. Vasay Chaudry was just there, and Hamza Ali Abbasi, needs to focus on his over acting tendencies. Javed Sheikh also bought his over acting and over the top personality, and made one ugly drunk. The females were decent overall.
In conclusion, I would give this moving a 1 star, solely based on the talent and dazzling personality brought by Bushra Ansari.

FIrst, I would like to appreciate the whole team and each and every actor of this film, It was truly an unexpected movie for me. Second, Direction was another field where Pakistani movie just surprised us with such a tremendous improvement, Third but not the least the COMEDY is superb!!! Honestly I wasn't expecting this movie to be anywhere close to be impressive. Awesome Dialogues, Awesome Script, Awesome Cast, Best Comedy Movie of the YEAR!!! I think of the decade :-)......I encourage everybody who is reading this review to appreciate this movie by watching it in the theaters ! Another thing i would like to share is that, the movie is for almost PG13, yet I think 15+ age groups will be the suitable one. And couples, don't miss the hilarious movie of the decade... AAAAA+++
JPNA...is a fresh new approach of comedy genre for Pakistan cinema, i was not expecting so much fun,its witty comedy was exciting to watch, consisting of superb performances, with a fine supporting cast of many old and new talent. The script and dialogue is razor sharp with many....LOL moment! .There is some fine inspiration from films like HANGOVER and SWINGERS but also consists merit for its own originality...its very superior to poor efforts from bollywood ,who constantly fail trying to imitate similar films from world cinema by making no constructive effort of their own.....JPNA rocks with top notch package of entertainment and will take Pakistan cinema to a well deserved level.

Here is the thing, I Watched a Pakistani movie after a long time. That too on recommendation and insistence of a dear friend. Well it has certain aspects such as story is nice, dance is OK, sights/scenes selected are good and the best aspect is comedy. Comedy remains the dominating element throughout the movie even till the end. Cast selection is superb. Senior actors selected performed very good, all male actors remained equally good in performance while performance of some of female actors is also remarkable. At first it becomes difficult to judge that this really could be a Pakistani movie, but we are proud to say our Industry is improving day by day on a much faster speed. A nice and simple story. Overall its worth your time and money. Its really worth watching. Simply awesome. Recommended.
