I had no expectations and was blown away . The quality , the plot , the dialogues, the authenticity and the originality of this film are next level .
The title's feedback had some people tell me i am not sure i can watch this but the brilliance of this film is that you get to laugh , see crazy action scenes but the messages still flow through very but very efficiently . What better way to point out the disastrous situation that haiti is in at this moment . The " La perle des antillles " quote describing haiti as a paradise is far from that reality today and movements like this can spark that passion to move in the right direction as gives outsiders a view into that harsh reality .
Its brilliant , i gave it a 9 as if i did 10 , where do i put my christopher nolan movies lol .
Koodos to the whole team , hope you keep pushing , you made Haitians proud on this one .

The movie is a picturesque depiction of Haitian society, especially Port-au-Prince, during the period of unrest it is currently experiencing. Haitians have a dark humor, a kind of psychological shield, and it shows. It dares to explore several taboo subjects including misogyny, homophobia, class disparities, the side-effects of the big earthquake... Each well-crafted character conveys a Haitian egregore, with all its nuances and colors. Bravo! I can't wait to see it again and laugh with the family. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
To think that I just saw Deadpool vs Wolverine, I believe that I love this kind of movie! The way haitian "influencers" randomly popped-up on scene, the action the intrigue, the.plot twits!!! OMG!! The plot twits. At the end you dont know if the audience is crying of joy or sadness.

Kidnapping Inc's story rides the delicate line of being funny, nuanced, and sensitive in its approach to a recent and devasting social phenomenom plaguing Haiti.
The acting, plot twist, and production are all excellent. Most surprisingly, the movie showcases a wide variety of settings in Port-au-Prince, providing a more complete picture of the city than the negative images news media insist on showing.
This movie is action-packed, funny, and deep all at once with social commentary on how poverty, corruption, and greed affect all levels of society. The character development and plot get a chef's kiss.

This movie has to be one of the best Haitian movies to be released recently. Director Bruno Mourral combines high class comedy with a serious matter in today's Haiti in a way that keeps the audience laughing and appreciating a plot with many twists and turns: a kidnaping by two inept individuals in cahoots with a chief of police involved in the kidnaping of the son of a presidential candidate who unknowingly trusts that same corrupt chief of police. The acting is simply excellent, the dialogue is hilarious. Congratulations to Director Bruno Mourral and his collaborators deserve a great accolade!

The movie is a roller coaster of emotions. The audience is totally engrossed by the palpitant cruelty of the gangs which rule the daily life in Haiti. When you least expect it, a joke or a scene provokes the whole audience to break into loud laughter. Often, I would find myself in tears because of the sad reality of the drama enfolding on the screen. Soon after, I would be tearing up and cracking up with laughter.
I've been encouraging all my friends to go see Kidnapping Inc. It's a perfect example of how Haitians have managed to endure the daily life by turning every sad situation into a joke. It's a masterpiece.

Simply the best Haitian film I've seen in my life ! Moreover the storyline, the script, the actors are stellar ! I've rarely sat down so immersed in a film. There were moments of truths, jokes after jokes never a dull moment. I was speechless and need to see it again to uncover the multiple layers of this gem. The attention to details is wild and I fell in love with the authenticity in which this story was told. This movie as a whole is a masterpiece, from the acting, to the editing, to the music every single moment is gold. Strongly recommend for anyone in need of a truth, laughter and thrill!
Kidnapping Inc. Is a Great movie with a complex and truthful insight into the contemporary Haitian culture.
It is a dark humor movie because talking about violence insecurity and corruption, but at the same time delivering a true account of the difficulties of every day life for the majority of Haitian people living in the Capital "Port-au-Prince"
The movie reveals the complexity of the Haitian people through different characters and one could deduce that Haitian people are pragmatic and stoic, accepting what they cannot change as their permanent reality, but at the same time we also observe that Haitians have big dreams for themselves and their immediate family which leads them some times to make questionable choices.
The movie also dives into the reality of politics and corruption destroying this beautiful scenic paradise "Haiti"

An excellent dark comedy. The film has many funny moments, unexpected twists and turns, and underneath the laughter, there are moments that are moving and hit hard. Two of my favourite characters were Doc and Laura. Doc is one of the kidnappers but quickly grows to be a sympathetic character. I was left rooting for him. Laura is the epitome of a strong woman, and is also allowed to be a feminine woman. I appreciate that the two can coexist, which isn't always the case in film. I was kept guessing about what was going to happen next, yet everything fit perfectly. I very much enjoyed this film. Highly recommended!
