OK, the target audience is clearly teens, one of which I am definitely not. It's the usual alien-invaders-versus-teens-running-for-their-lives story that's been told a hundred times, so there is zero originality. The writers/director were also clearly stuck for a way to end the movie, because the way it ends comes from so far out of left field you'd think it was from another movie entirely; it make no sense whatsoever in the context of the movie to that point. Short version? Don't bother.

The cinematographer did a good job. For a low budget the film looks great. However, that is all it has going for. The story is a snorefest. The dialogue is unrealistic and boring (nobody really speak like this). The alein costumes are awful... the tongues popping out every few seconds looks absurd. The acting is rough. PLus, what is that ending? Doesnt even make sense. Skip it.
Awful plot. Bad acting. Poor CGI and horrible make-up.
If you like ugly teenagers running and screaming erratically, this movie is for you.
If you like sci-fi, do not waste your time.

Unwatchable. The music alone annoyed me to no end. Seems like a corny kids movie. Horrible special effects, horrible "research", horrible "story line". Maybe if I was 9 years old this would be okay at best.

Time watching this I will never get back. Not sure what was the worst part of this joke. Bad acting? Plot too familiar with other like or similar movies. Dont waste your time.

Horrible sound, horrible acting, horrible filming, horrible lighting, the only redeeming quality is that there is not a sequel. Do not waste your time. I would rather watch a colonoscopy than this movie.
First of all it's a very low budget film, teens don't know how to act , bad make up ....very bad direction...bad choice for casting ..need to work on it...just move on to an other film...waste of time..
After reading who about the director ..etc...i understood it's just was not a Hollywood film...Armature beginning breakthrough...

Click click, chirp. It' s THAT alien again.👽
The SIQNS.music gets annoying as it goes on and on. That high flute. Change it.
A third of the movie is sticking microphones up in the air.
A third is walking aimlessly.
A 90% is talking.
But the UFO materializing and the eyes and tongue of ETLizard in the first appearance only are perfect.

All the people who panned this just didn't get it. It is a complex movie with subtle undertones. Redemption for mankind is the true meaning. The photography was spectacular, the music was sensitive and moving. The special effects were quite good. You must remember this is a low budget independent film. The end does make sense ONLY if you understand its esoteric message. BTW I am 70 years old and I didn't object to unknown kids playing the parts.

Very good effort for a "B" movie. The scenes & camera views have been well thought out. The actors are actually pretty good. The music is even good. It's not cheesy like other alien/ufo movies I've watched.

"Fighting The Sky" has a standard "It Came From Outer Space", story that plays along similar lines as "Dark Skies". It does manage to string together a pretty neat story from the many ideas ripped from classic scifi tropes. It does lack originality, and at times the pace falls flat when dialog heavy scenes seem clunky and forced.
The acting bounces from hokey and below B level to some truly cool moments that give a level of quality to the film. Notably Cole, stands out as a strong performer. The overall storyline is a good concept and for reasoning Faraj has created a cool little first contact, alien tale. Still, there is plenty wrong, making it a film to either dedicate ones' time to it, or just get stoned and let it happen.
The creature design is a unique choice , and the CGI was well done. At first the aliens made me whence, but stayed with it and it works because not all aliens are the same. Right?! The cinematography is excellent and the cast get their groove at the halfway mark so the story amps up. Overall "Fighting The Sky" won't appeal to everyone, this isn't high level effects mayhem like "The Fifth Wave", but the indie vibe, and recognizable cast make it worth checking out.

Storyline makes no sense, acting is pretty bad... not even a B series movie. I wonder if it is the first movie of some unknown director and cast with almost no budget.
On the other hand I believe its rating should be reviewed because it is very suspicious that among a lot of bad ratings you find quite a few with a perfect rating of 10 over 10. I think people taking part in the movie should not be allowed to rate it. Or at least the rating calculation should be able of excluding very disparate and extremely favourable ratings. Weighting algorithm for ratings does not seem to do its intended work in this case.

If you enjoyed watching M. Night Shyamalan's movie "Signs," then you possibly might enjoy this class B Sci-if movie. One would think this could be a sequel to the movie "Signs" because the aliens look quit similar. This movie is geared for young teenagers and college age students, of which the movie is mainly focusing on. Sounds from the sky are heard all around the world before alien ships begin uncloaking their invisibility. The young teenagers and college age "geeks" windup in a house in the country as an Aliens ship lands nearby. The suspense is also not bad. The acting isn't the greatest, but how would you expect them act, not knowing how to defend themselves in the limited time that was allotted them. This was really, not bad of a movie.
