Ejder, the heir to Yenilmezler, one of the wealthiest families living in Bursa and Nagme, who is a successful pianist, both grew up under their mother's pressure. They love each other the moment they meet.

Elvan is devastated to learn her crush Ejder has married someone else. Nagme's mother goes from wondering where she is to discovering she is now wed and is furious. Nagme and Ejder stand up to their families. Later, Elvan visits Ejder.

Nagme discovers several secrets about her new in-laws and confronts Elvan over her connection to Ejder. Elvan's presence drives a wedge between Ejder and Nagme, leading Nagme to flee Bursa.

Nagme realizes that she made a big mistake by saving Elvan's life. Nagme returns to the ranch and talks with Ejder. Plotting from her husband's family and Elvan causes an argument between the newlyweds. Later, a life-threatening situation makes Nagme decide on the future of her marriage. Nagme's mother goes behind her back to file divorce papers. Ejder ponders his future with or without Nagme.

Elvan's succeeded in separating Ejder and Nagme. Ejdar gets drunk, and Elvan tries to take advantage of his drunken state but is stopped in time. Nagme overhears her mother on the phone saying she forged her signature on divorce papers.

Ejder and Nagme have a traditional wedding, but despite her mother attending the event, she clearly doesn't approve of Nagme's marriage. Elvan is despondent and walks to the edge of a cliff and prepares to jump.

In the nick of time, Elvan was pulled to safety from the edge of the cliff. Nagme and Ejder are now closer than ever. Elvan is jealous of Nagme because she still wants Ejder for herself. Defne exchanges texts with a friend and then asks her mother Sifka to allow her to hang out with friends, but she says no. Elvan's older brother confronts Ejder about Elvan and the beating he received. Elvan is determined that one day she will be Ejder's wife. Defne is out walking when she is suddenly kidnapped by two men. Elvan approaches Nagme and tries to manipulate her, but the plan backfires badly. Elvan quickly runs out of allies. Sifka has a nervous breakdown. Elvan's older brother calls Ejder and tells him that his niece Defne has been kidnapped and that he'll return her in exchange for Elvan.

Sefika has a nightmare about the death of her eldest son. Ejder, Simal and Ahlas drive around searching for where Defne might be being held. In a flood of tears, Sefika calls her husband Simal to find out if he has found their kidnapped daughter Defne. Sefika apologizes to Nagme for her cruelty, but only because she wants a favor, and when Nagme refuses, Sefika lashes out at the younger woman. A furious Sefika blames Elvan for Defne's abduction and tries to smother Elvan with a pillow. Defne tries to befriend her kidnapper in order to escape. When Defne finally escapes from the cabin in the woods, she is soon recaptured. Later, Elvan secretly calls her brother and warns him that they know where he is, and Simal is devastated to discover that Defne has been moved to another location by the kidnapper. Ejder becomes the next target of his sister-in-law Sefika's wrath as she again lashes out verbally. A phone call from the kidnapper leads Sefika to agree to his demands in order to get her daughter back. Nagme is forced to make a decision that leaves someone's life in her hands, but could ruin her own.
