Originally created in 2012 and streamed online (Nerdist Channel), the series was under development at the basic cable network AMC. Eight half-hour episodes were ordered by AMC in May 2014. A few months later, because of the network's shift in programming focus from Reality TV to scripted fare, the series order was canceled.
