Was produced as a three-part miniseries, but deemed good enough for a theatrical release (in a shortened version). Due to this, the movie was excluded for the most important categories at the Dutch Film Festival.
Although the film is situated in Amsterdam, some of the scenes were shot in another Dutch city, Utrecht. This is because of the historical character of the town.
The movie won the prize for 'Best Film' at the Limburg Film Festival 2017 in The Netherlands.
