Stellan Skarsgård is inevitably one of the most legendary personalities the entertainment industry could ever be gifted with. A remarkable actor, he has made sure to give a beyond-captivating performance in every single role ordained to him. Like his embodying of the ruthless Baron Vladimir Harkonnen in his recent project Dune: Part Two, which was nothing short of utterly commendable.

In fact, when it comes to his roles, Stellan Skarsgård doesn’t step back from taking risks if it means he can deliver the ultimate, essential performance required of the character — even if the risk is as great as his life. Just like what he did while shooting for the Oscar-winning masterpiece, Good Will Hunting, with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Spoiler Alert: This interview discusses gargantuan plot developments in “Kill List,” Season 4, Episode 5 of “Succession,” now streaming on HBO Max.
Kieran Culkin hasn’t yet watched this week’s episode of “Succession” because he’s traveling — and doesn’t like watching things on his laptop. Having wrapped filming only six weeks ago, and with upcoming episodes still in post-production, Culkin isn’t even sure how the gripping story of this family dynasty will end.
The April 23 episode “Kill List” was written by Jon Brown and Ted Cohen and directed by Emmy winner Andrij Parekh, showcased one of Roman’s most emotionally driven scenes throughout the four seasons of “Succession.” In its tension-filled 60 minutes, Culkin demonstrated his abilities as a dramatic actor during a heated exchange with streaming media giant CEO Lukas Matsson (played exquisitely by Alexander Skarsgård). In the scene on the Norwegian mountaintops, Matsson insults Roman and Kendall (Jeremy Strong...

Dead Island 2 ignores the traditional skill tree system in favor of the kind of skill card “deckbuilding” system we see in games like Back 4 Blood. While it takes a little while to find and equip all of those cards, the payoff is worth it. You can really come up with some creative skill card builds in this game if you’re willing to experiment.
Even if it takes you most of the game to acquire all the skill cards you need/want, you can still work toward an ideal character build while you’re filling your card collection. That being the case, here’s a rundown of some of the best late-game character build options and the basic strategies that each build is trying to pull off (so you can make the most of them along the way). Oh, and if you need any additional information on what these cards do,...

Korean action-thriller “Project Wolf Hunting” has scored a distribution deal ahead of its premiere at TIFF. Well Go USA Entertainment, which specializes in worldwide action, genre and indie films, has secured North American rights.
Written and directed by Kim Hong-sun, the movie follows a group of seabound prisoners who hatch a plot to take over the cargo ship from the crew and special agents onboard. Unbeknownst to either party, there’s also a sinister force camped out on the ship, steering the plot from a high-seas heist to a bloody, action-packed slasher.
“Project Wolf Hunting” stars Seo In-guk, Jang Dong-yoon, Jeong So-min and Sung Dong-il. The film will debut Sept. 21 in South Korea before playing in TIFF’s Midnight Madness program, the first Korean pic to do so after Bong Joon-ho’s “The Host.”
The North American release is set for Oct. 7.

In 2017, “The Handmaid’s Tale” director Reed Morano ended a 22-year dry spell when she became the only the third woman to win the Best Drama Directing Emmy. A woman has not won since, but this year, three have a chance to become the fourth.
Liz Garbus (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Jessica Hobbs (“The Crown”) and Julie Anne Robinson (“Bridgerton”) are up for the honor alongside Steven Canals (“Pose”), Benjamin Caron (“The Crown”) and Jon Favreau (“The Mandalorian”). If Garbus, Hobbs or Robinson wins, they’ll join Morano, Karen Arthur (“Cagney & Lacey,” 1985) and Mimi Leder as the category’s only female champs.
This is the second straight year with three female drama directing nominees. Leder was nominated last year for “The Morning Show” alongside Hobbs for “The Crown” and Lesli Linka Glatter for “Homeland,” but they lost to Andrij Parekh for “Succession.”

Although you may not have noticed given that all of the focus and attention was placed on The Mandalorian‘s season 2 premiere, which isn’t surprising considering that the series is an extension of one of the world’s most popular and beloved franchises and is a massively acclaimed show, Amazon Prime also debuted a new small screen exclusive on Friday.
