The police captain Pavel Semyonov got used to acting first, and then to sort it out, because he wants to stay alive, because his wife Yulia and son Sasha are waiting for him at home. At the risk of his life, he saves the daughter of a senior official. In gratitude, the girl's father helps Pavel transfer to the department on Nevskiy Prospect, where serving is prestigious and profitable.

Upon learning of his transfer, Semyonov goes to get acquainted with the new leadership. Semyonov's friend and former partner, Nazarov, having drink after a divorce from his wife, opened fire in a cafe and was under investigation. Major Kravtsov, a USB staff, was connected to the case. All witnesses to this skirmish refused testimony, except for one person. Kravtsov went to see him, but the last witness was already dead. Now Semyonov, in order to save a friend, must find a real killer.

The weekdays of Pasha on Nevskiy began, and these weekdays were not fun. Semyonov will have to not only catch criminals, but also fight off "attacks" of influential people who use their right to be strong bypassing laws. And then the bosses add fuel to the fire, pursuing their goals and restraining the captain's just indignation.

In the center of St. Petersburg, the corpse of a foreign citizen Leonid Rubinstein, a native of Leningrad, now a citizen of Israel, was discovered. Semyonov and Mikhailov must find the criminal. The case is under the control of the FSB - after all, a foreigner died. However, it is Pasha who catches the criminals who robbed Rubinstein and then killed him.

After a shootout in the city center, one Novikov, a witness in an important case, was detained. Semyonov is waiting for the investigator, who must interrogate the detainee. But he, left in the office alone with Novikov, kills him. Semyonov does not manage to detain the killer. It turns out that the investigator was not real.

In St. Petersburg, a loud contract murder takes place - the businessman Somov died, his wife was wounded. Semyonov and Mikhailov find out that it was she who ordered the murder of her husband - her injury was slight, just for the sake of appearance. Semyonov goes on the trail of a killer named Architect, who was hired by Somov and whom police have not been able to catch for a long time.

Semyonov goes to the region to take the testimony of a witness and finds himself a prisoner of the local authority of Chinghis. Colleagues, instead of rushing to help those in need, are busy figuring out relationships between themselves. Pasha's wife helps him out, who made one important call in time. Lyubimov is sure that after this Semyonov will file a dismissal report - they left their own in trouble. However, Pasha is not such that Lyubimov was able to evaluate.

Businessman Dvorkin, entrusting to Colonel Kopteev, not only turns out to be "thrown for money," but also says goodbye to life. The wife of the deceased informs Semyonov that Dvorkin talked with the businessman Latyshev - another victim, scheduled by Kopteev. Semyonov rescues Latyshev, and Arsenyev sticks to his success.

Pickpockets have intensified on Nevskiy Prospekt, Arsenyev sends Semyonov to "free search." Every evening, Pasha is obliged to submit a report on the work done to him. But, according to an evil irony of fate, Arsenyev himself is a victim of a thief - in a matter of seconds he remains without a service certificate and service weapon. In the morning, two corpses are found by patrolmen - both men are killed with Arsenyev's pistol.

Pasha is furious with the behavior of Foma for his help Yulia, who had a fight with the new store owner, Zaur, who brazenly sells fake vodka. Having expressed claims to him, Yulia was left without work. However, this question was decided by Foma - quickly and toughly. Now Yulia is the director of the store. In a boxing club in the ring, Pasha decided to explain to Foma that he should not interfere in his life. But Foma objected that he intervened because Pavel himself did not solve the problem of his wife, because he was not in the best shape.

Not far from Nevskiy Prospect, the owner of a network of beauty salons was stabbed to death, diamond earrings and a necklace were torn off her. Investigators suspect that the attack could be committed by a drug addict. They shake the chief drug dealer of the district and in the morning they see the drug addict who appeared to be guilty in the department. But it turns out that he came to confess because he was terminally ill, and the godfather promised to help his children. Pasha begins the search for the real killer.

Lyubimov's deputy Arsenyev continues to dig under his boss, hoping to bring him to retirement. One of the stages of this plan was to be the detention of the killer Architect. But the operation that Arsenyev developed proved to be a failure. Mikhailov suffered from Pasha's bullet. Arsenyev, distorting the truth, is trying to present the story to Lyubimov with a benefit for herself.

After Pasha accidentally wounded Mikhailov, he was left without a service weapon. Not everything is alright in the family: Pasha is jealous of Yulia for Foma, and Yulia Pasha for Vera. After his injury, Mikhailov's wife is looking for a new job for him. Mikhailov is trying to explain to her that they live well only thanks to his service in the police.

Pasha's morning began with a skirmish with a group of activists who stuck a sticker with the words "twerp is driving" on his jeep. A few hours later, Pasha again had to meet with them, but for a completely different reason: two of them were shot dead by a man in a black jeep without license plates.

Mikhailov shares with Pasha the information that one of the competitors "ordered" Aleksey Fomin. Pasha, although is jealous of his wife for Foma, but without a moment's hesitation, tells about this to Aleksey himself. Through Yulia, Foma gave Pasha substantial amount of money as a sign of gratitude, but Pasha still does not take bribes.

A former employee of the city administration Istomin lost his wife. Intuition tells Pavel Semyonov that the abduction could not have done without Istomin himself. The thing is that the couple has a successful business - a network of mini-hotels.

The investigation into the case of the killer, nicknamed the Architect, did not gather enough evidence, and the killer is about to be at large. This means that the stars will fly off the shoulder straps of police officers. Arsenyev forces Pasha to "identify" the Architect as having shot him.

Lyubimov announces a severe reprimand to Arsenyev for entering into his personal file due to the failure of the operation for detention the killer Architect. Meanwhile Pavel Semyonov was presented for the assignment of the next rank - major.

Lyubimov is approached by his acquaintance, businessman Latyshev, with a request to "resolve" the situation: his daughter Olga met a certain Kirill in a nightclub, and after several meetings, yielding to his persuasion, lent him one hundred thousand euros. The guy hid with money. Semyonov finds out that a certain young man tricks wealthy girls and extort money from them under various pretexts. The clue for his capture was one: he drives an expensive foreign car and boasts that there is only one in the city.

The corpse of citizen Golyshev was found in a city park. After establishing his identity, it turns out that he came from Novosibirsk, where he was a cashier of a criminal group and disappeared with money. After examining the nature of the injuries, Semyonov concludes that the killer is an Architect. But Arsenyev forbids Pasha to expand on this subject, since he has long reported to the top about the capture of the killer.

Semyonov continues to search for a killer, nicknamed the Architect, who leaves his brand name on the crime scene - the letter "A". Major OSB Kravtsov haunted by an expensive foreign car, acquired by Pavel clearly using his official position. Lyubimov decides to suspend Semyonov from business. After the check, Kravtsov not only removes all suspicions from Semyonov, but also asks for help in finding the killer of his wife.

Businessman Musa, unhappy with the increase in tribute, "orders" Foma through his man to the Architect. But Foma is ahead of the enemy and strikes a preemptive strike, killing Musa and his people. Before his death, one of the bandits admits that he has appointed a killer a new meeting place. Learning about this, Kravtsov and Semyonov go there. To the surprise of the operatives, for the meeting comes Vershinin. Blinded by fury, Kravtsov shoots the murderer of his wife. But soon Semyonov is scheduled to meet with Vershinin's lawyer and transfers the letter of the deceased. It turns out that Vershinin, who had long been involved in the capture of the Architect, decided to impersonate him in order to provoke a real criminal to a mistake - even at the cost of his own life.

Semyonov from his informant learns that prisoner Popov once resorted to the services of an Architect. However, Popov refuses to extradite the killer - in exchange for a tip, he demands to arrange for him to escape from prison. Semyonov refuses, but Kravtsov convinces him to agree - because this is their only chance to detain the elusive killer. With the help of Foma Semyonov manages to stage the escape.

Kravtsov continues the search for the Architect. Suspicion falls on Foma, a school friend of Semyonov, and Arsenyev. Semyonov makes inquiries about Arsenyev's past and realizes that his boss is ideally suited for the role of Architect. Suddenly, Semyonov's wife, Yulia, is detained for the manslaughter of a drug addict who attacked girls.

The investigator in the case of Yulia presses on Semyonov, threatening to accuse him of involvement in the murder of a drug addict. So they need a good, and, therefore, very expensive, lawyer. Foma comes to the rescue - he offers Semyonov money, Pasha is forced to agree. Arsenyev, realizing that he is being watched, adjusts a car accident for Kravtsov.

Semyonov visits Kravtsov in hospital and confesses to him that he blabbed to Mikhailov about surveillance of Arsenyev. Kravtsov is now absolutely sure that Arsenyev is the Architect. Arsenyev makes his move - he complains to General Khokhlov, hinting that he might suffer. Khokhlov seeks the dismissal of Kravtsov.

Kravtsov was put on the wanted list - he shot dead a traffic police officer. At this time, Semyonov and Nazarov are waiting for the Architect in ambush. Comes to the meeting place - Foma. Nazarov shoots Foma and confesses to Semyonov that he is the Architect. Semyonov manages to detain a werewolf colleague. Foma falls into a coma. Kravtsov, put on the wanted list, unexpectedly comes himself and destroys the killer of his wife, the Architect. In response, patrolmen shoot him.

An accident occurs on Nevskiy, in a skirmish that ensued, one of the drivers grabs a pistol and seriously injures another. The victim turns out to be the son of an influential official, and Arsenyev throws all his strength in search of the shooter. Semyonov submits a report on dismissal, but Mikhailov is in no hurry to let him go. Foma comes out of a coma, and Lyubimov is appointed the new deputy chief instead of General Khokhlov caught on a bribe.
