"MIssy's Men" is a failed TV pilot that bears some similarity to the much later film, "Three Men and a Baby"...though instead of a baby, the beloved kid is a cute Korean girl who is about seven years old. And, instead of three guys who MIGHT have fathered the kid, it's about three soldiers in Korea decide to mutually adopt her and bring her to the States.
The drama in this proposed show comes in the form of a pushy Immigration and Naturalization Service worker. She visits the home a couple times and seems bent on taking the child away from them. Why isn't exactly clear...she's almost like a villain for the sake of having a villain.
While this is NOT a bad show, I can see why the networks didn't pick it up. After all, how could all this be stretched into a weekly series?! I could see it as a cute made for TV movie...but nothing more. Also, although Missy is cute, she is perhaps cloyingly cute...off-putting to some folks.
