- Emile and June, having once been very much in love, have had a difficult few years. Coming from money and used to using it as an answer to many of life's difficulties, Emile decides the best option is to have her killed. June, however, learns of this and pays the assassin twice as much to kill Emile. In fact, she wants to watch. The three of them meet on a bridge and the lovers begin to accuse each other of various failures and in the process begin also to realize their continued devotion to each other. They fall in love again before the assassin's incredulous glare, give him the keys to the house, car and bank deposit box, and walk off into the night and their new life together. As Emile explains, they "have to come naked to each other..." The assassin has a few choice words for this kind of folly. What he says to himself, however, reveals something about his loneliness and the ways that were lost to him...
- A man meets with an assassin on a bridge to arrange the murder of his wife. The wife, however, appears suddenly, having paid the killer twice as much to have the husband killed. They decide to abandon the idea. But the killer wants to be paid.
