King Cobra

Edit
The real Brent Corrigan (a.k.a. Sean Lockhart) has publicly condemned this movie. Responding to a fan asking on Twitter about the veracity of the story, Brent responded "I gave them permission to use my names but explicitly made it clear that their story was heinous and not sanctioned." He also said the movie "tells a story with contempt for queer culture and mockery for porn."
Fictional interpretation of real events.
This story and the murderous couple of Harlow and Joe was profiled on the October 18, 2015 episode of the true crime show Snapped: Killer Couples that airs on the Oxygen channel.
This is the fifth gay character that James Franco plays.
Real-life Luzerne County, Pennsylvania judge - Michael Conahan - signed paperwork in 2006 changing the real-life victim Bryan Kocis' charge from sex assault to corruption of minors. As a result of that change, Kocis was not required to be registered as a Megan's Law offender and Cobra Video commenced. Conahan later pleaded guilty to federal racketeering charges in relation to the infamous "Kids for Cash" scandal, and is serving 17.5 years in prison for other charges. The Luzerne County scandal, involving Kocis' judge, of sentencing kids to overly-harsh sentences to an out-of-state facility for cash kickbacks was used in a Law and Order: Special Victims Unit episode 10.20 "Crush." Actress Swoozie Kurtz played the Conahan role of the crooked judge.
