Corruption II was originally intended to be a 20-minute short film. When it was being written back in 2013 the script eventually grew into a full length feature film after a period of 4 months of continuous scripting.
Originally Corruption II was intended to be co-written and produced by Chris Gainsbury, Shaun Cooper and Paul Handforth. Unfortunately Paul was unable to continue his involvement due to a career opportunity as the project entered pre production in May 2014.
The location of Alex's house in Corruption II is actually the real home of Assistant Director, Shaun Cooper.
During the fight scene between Michael and Tony, it was scripted for a cheque spindle to be pierced through Tony's eye. Due to budget restrictions, an alternative attack was used instead.
The scenes with Michael and the henchmen, filmed above the BBC car park at MediaCityUK had to be re-shot three times. This was due to the time the scenes were set in the script (dusk), mixed with a reduction of daylight hours available during the time of the year in which the scenes were being shot. In the film, the final edit is comprised of footage from all three shoots, which were done across a two month period.
