Add this movie to you "Must Miss This Hot Mess" list.
Unless you just dying to see Lindsay Lohan. In that case you will be a very happy unit.

A Brussels secret detective who comes from a long descent of werewolves uses her inherent abilities to unwind the conspiracy following her uncle's death.
Now we've all seen bad movies. But this film fails on every level of competency, I wouldn't even consider it a film at all. It's pitifully strung together with poor editing, sloppily moved along with endless stock footage. Every scene with Lohan has been poorly edited into the film either with a green screen or one of those suspiciously high-quality Skype calls we see so often in films. A scene near the end even uses leftover B-roll footage on the very green screen she's sat in front of for the whole movie.
The sad thing is this is Lohan's first movie in over 5 years, I just ask myself why this? I want a comeback from her as much as the next person but this film failed on every level imaginable.

Absolute trash! Art work on the case is totally misleading and the best part of the film , Lohan is an 'and' to the feature, very poor production values, terrible acting and a unnecessary overcomplicated weak plot.
It has a quite high budget that i can only assume the heads enjoyed themselves with expenses as it certainly doesn't show in the film production.
If you like your low budget weak film that can be picked up for under a $1 this is a must for you.
In a word to sum up this film ..... excrement

First I should mention that I got to see this with two friends for free - if you search in the right spot and add "Lifetime movie" to the title you will find that someone has already pirated this piece of dross onto the internet.
This will never become a cult classic since it's not "awful but funny", it's just plain awful. The plot is impossible to follow, the actors are amateurish and some are downright impossible to understand, the lighting is abominable, werewolves and vampires come and go for no discernible reason, there's no continuity between scenes and . . . well I could go on but why bother.
And then there's this, what is the need of a smoke machine for an interior scene?
Since Lindsay Lohan is the only recognizable name in the cast(except maybe Charlotte Beckett), let's talk a bit about her performance:
Now let's talk about what's good about the film, or at least what didn't repulse me, and that would be the aforementioned Charlotte Beckett. She's pretty, she looks good in black, she's a passable actress who doesn't need to read her lines off of a large piece of markerboard. That's about it.
To sum it up, this will never be a cult favorite but it could be the final wooden stake in the heart of Lohan's career. On the other hand, that Saudi Arabian production of Lohan starring in an all female film about an American woman who comes to teach a harem about God knows what sounds intriguing (said no one, ever.)

Since Lindsay Lohan is the only recognizable name in the cast(except maybe Charlotte Beckett), let's talk a bit about her performance:
- She delivers every line in a flat, gravely voice.
- Her eyes dart to the left and right as she reads her lines.
- I'm going to guess she blew off coming in every day after a while. In some scenes, it's obvious that they just put her in front of a green screen and spliced her in with actors who already filmed the scene without her.
- There are actually times when there's a body double who neither looks or sounds like Lohan reading her lines. BTW, this is not a bad thing since the anonymous person is a more convincing actress than Lohan.
- The only good thing is she's not in a whole lot of the film, at least for the 50 minutes or so that I managed to watch this.

I was giving this movie a shot because it's nothing else was on regular cable until Lindsey and the other female actor were in a "scene together", but they weren't actually in the scene together at all. It was so odd, and almost a joke. They pieces the conversation together. It was laughable. Don't waste any of your time. Honestly, I'm shocked someone released this movie.
Don't waste your time- I did it for you! The acting is atrocious.. the plot non existent

Sometimes a movie comes along that is so ineptly-made, so amazingly incompetent, that you stare in wonder at how many people put their energy and best efforts into such a train wreck of film art.
And this time, it has Lindsay Lohan in it.
As a vampire.
Also there are werewolves.
It's Underworld meets Phillip Marlowe as Patricia (Lohan) hires a PI, who is a werewolf, to protect her husband, who is also a werewolf, from assassins, who are also werewolves.
Get some friends, get some popcorn, this is a film that will challenge everything you know about how films should be made, edited, and perhaps even watched.

Director really messed this one up, he needs to take the blame here. Awful. Only recognizable actors were Lohan and Capaldi, they got pass marks but the rest apart from new comer Beckett need to find a new profession. Story is confusing and all these characters are so not needed. What a waste of a potentially good film. Real shame.
Coloring of the film and score were amateur. But again not as bad as these foreign actors and the director. Please leave the industry ...
A crime, revenge thriller about pseudo political power play, some conspiracies, and of course: Werewolfs and vampires in the United States of Europe!
Well, one could think this might sound good in a silly but fun way.
Sadly, such a possible illusion vanishes into thin air as soon as the first scenes are over and you know you have a real stinker at hand.
This so called film doesn't know what it wants to be and ultimately ends up as a complete disaster. The story in an incoherent mess, the dialogues resemble juvenile babbling at best, the so called action scenes are to 100 percent lame and terribly edited, plus each and every actor is unable to perform above elementary school play level. Lohan's career appears to be have flushed down the toilet for good now. Not a big loss, though.
The probably only positive thing to say is the locations have a certain flair. But that's really all there is. Not enough to have kept me awake, so I saw the first half and the "ending". At least it was a good nap.
Budget:$12,000,000 (estimated) as IMDb states? Only if a scheme was involved to rob tax payers money via accessing government film funds à la Uwe Boll.

I'm amazed that they found actors who were so awful they almost made Lindsay Lohan look good(ish). Then again, what should I expect from a direct to video on demand release? However, the tactics of bad acting didn't make her appear any better, making the fact that she can't act more prominent. At least her role was minimal.
What's with the dirty lens filter? That's just weird and out of place.
They don't transform like other werewolves I've seen, which I guess is alright, but I couldn't tell the difference between vampire and wolf. Detective Kristy Wolfe is a vampire, isn't she? Wait. What? She's a werewolf, too? I guess I should've known that based on her last name. This film is so low budget that they couldn't afford to run to Party City for a few werewolf masks. Seriously, had they not said they were werewolves, I would've continued to think they were vampires.
I cannot express the horror I felt watching Among the Shadows, and not because it was scary. This has to be the worst movie I've ever tortured myself with, and it gives me great pleasure to give this movie 0 out of 5 Stars.

Maybe this was an attempt to establish a new category of vampire/werewolf flicks. Apparently the lead character is a combination of both (how that came to be would make a fine movie by itself). Then add lots of bizarre blends and colorization to short clips or even entire scenes, long strings of monotone dialog, and lethargic reactions by people in imminent danger - like those poor joggers. The anticipated result will be an offbeat but thought-provoking experience for viewers, something like when canvas artists replace realism with surreal imagery to stir imaginations.
Or maybe this movie really is nothing more than a horrifying train wreck.

Bad camera angles, bad voice syncing, bad acting and a bad plotline, I would love a refund on the 5.99 I paid to rent this on sky. Very disappointing 🙁

This movie was absolutely horrific. Completely disjointed story line, horrible acting, badly edited, and I could go on and on. I probably fell asleep a few times trying to endure watching this bore of a movie.
I have seen many student and indie films which were shot and edited better and they had no budgets. Do yourselves a favor and don't waste your time watching this trainwreck.

Lack of everything! No originality, Not even a fragment of decent writing, directing, producing, and most of all acting. Do not waste your time! You would be more amused watching paint dry.

Well I couldn't make any sense of this jumble of dark scenes with no coherence. I watched to the end of the movie hoping it would improve as the acting is not terrible - no such luck and it ends on a cliffhanger......
I've just seen (or better attempted to) what undoubtedly is the worst pic I've ever seen in my long life of movie addict.
I am laughing in incredulity: seriously can't believe than any film maker (film maker??!!) could even conceive such a travesty of a movie.
Plot: sorry, come again Dialogues: pure cringe Acting: change job Photography: cheap and cheesy
And poor Lindsay, alas so far have you fallen.

Look the movie is good, it's not the same stories of vampires fighting werewolves the movie has a interesting way of approach things Charlotte and Lindsay acting are on point their interactions were truly iconic and I truly hope Tiago makes a sequel I want more!.

Amongst the female population, werewolf genre and romance has become a big hit. I was glad to find this movie, it is headed in the right direction for the Werewolf enthusiasts.
If there were more than maybe they could get some quality movies recorded, if you advertise to women, they will come. Remember "Twilight"? Women were either Team Jacob, or Team Edward.
Twilight was not not going to make the Academy awards, but it did feel a need out there for that genre. We need more Werewolf and shifter type movies that are not horror films.

This is so bad. This film is complete waste of time. Acting is very bad and the werewolves aren't true werewolves that change, all that happens is their am eyes change colour and that's it.
